Summer of Mush: We're in Another Period of Stasis

I have a theory. We're in another period of stasis. Nothing much is happening, in politics at least. The economy remains surprisingly buoyant-check today's new jobs numbers. Inflation bobs along, a low-grade fever. The expected tariff-driven chaos remains just around the corner.
