Matthew Liberatore surrendered eight hits and three earned runs in 3 2/3 innings of work to set the tone for a 7-3 Cardinals' loss to the Cubs at Busch Stadium on Monday night. It was the Cardinals' eighth loss in 11 games since the break for the MLB All-Star Game.
